rhizome r&d is a new independent research lab combining experience in emerging technology with interdisciplinary design methods to make ambiguous problem spaces clear and navigable.
I started rhizome r&d to address a common problem: Many teams aren’t able to hire in-house researchers, especially in the critical early stages of design and development when research has the most value. As a result, many teams go top-speed in the wrong direction, or even too timidly in the right direction.
By supporting teams with primary research tailored to their unique problem space on a project basis, rhizome r&d provides empirically-grounded clarity and confidence going into challenges like design problem definition, value proposition, and concept validation.
