Moscow: Towards a Great City for People - Public Space/Public Life Report

I worked with Jan Gehl and Gehl Architects in Copenhagen on a public space public life survey (PSPL) for central Moscow. The project aimed to develop a vision for making the city more people-centric.

My contributions included:

  • Survey planning
  • Data analysis and visualization
  • Mapping
  • Graphic design

The study spurred Mayor Sergey Sobyanin to begin removing parking from central squares as an initial step toward creating public gathering spaces. In fall 2013, the research was presented as a street exhibition in Moscow's city center, communicating the findings and vision directly to residents.
